Those who are familiar with the AR-15 platform know that there are a number of nooks and crannies that are hard to clean, particularly in the chamber of the gun. The new RamRodz 5.56 NATO Barrel and Breech Cleaners are specifically designed to help AR owners keep every aspect of their go-to sporting rifle in peak condition.

"RamRodz eliminate the need for old-style patches, do a better job and are more versatile than snakes," said Ian Vinci, president of RamRodz, Inc. "You can now enjoy gun cleaning without the hassle or mess in a fraction of the time."

Ramrodz 5.56 NATO Barrel and Breech Cleaners are constructed with a specially designed chisel tip, which allows rifle owners to get into the hard-to-reach areas in the chamber area of an AR-15. The tips are also caliber-specific, ensuring that they can be used to achieve a sparkling-clean bore when used in conjunction with gun cleaner. To facilitate bore cleaning, each bag of RamRodz cleaners ships with a special adapter that enables the 3-inch bamboo-handled cleaning rods to attach easily to any standard cleaning rod.

The chisel-tip design is constructed using low-lint cotton, which ensures that the implement won't leave loose strands of cotton or other residue inside a firearm. When used to clean a rifle bore, the cotton tip expands against the lands and grooves, scrubbing out bore buildup. An additional benefit of the tips is their high-absorption ability, ensuring that they can easily mop up excess cleaner and oil with ease.

In addition to the obvious benefits of cleaning an AR-platform rifle, the specially formulated tip is sized right to allow easy cleaning of handgun slide rails, firing-pin channels and more. The bamboo handles used with each cleaning implement also provides the flexibility needed to clean in tight corners, giving users the confidence that they can scrub out carbon build-up without worrying about a fractured handle.

In addition to 5.56 NATO-size tips, the Ramrodz Barrel and Breech Cleaners are also available in .30-, .38-, .40-, .45-, .50- and 12-gauge calibers. The cleaners are sold in packs of 300, with retail pricing starting at $8.79 per bag.
