As consumers are faced with ever-increasing options in the firearms world, the ability to tailor a rifle's fit to an individual shooter is becoming a much more important variable when purchasing. Savage Arms provides an answer in the form of its newly developed AccuFit stock, developed for the company's revamped line of Model 110 rifles.

“There’s nothing magical about fit that mechanically makes a rifle shoot any more accurately,” says Beth Shimanski, Savage Arms senior marketing manager. “But the ability to quickly shoulder the rifle and confidently take the shot, versus struggling to line up the scope, can mean the difference between tagging a trophy and missing.”

The new Savage Arms AccuFit stock provides Savage Model 110 rifle owners with the ability to select between a number of components to build the perfect rifle fit for their body. Armed with only a Philips screwdriver, any user can choose between four separate 0.25-inch stock spacers to build the perfect length of pull. Once the overall length is selected, five different comb components are available, raising the stock comb in 0.125-inch increments.

The system opens up a whole new world to rifle owners, enabling them to have the customizable components needed to tweak stock fit throughout the life of the gun. Shooting with a thick jacket in cold weather? Simply remove a stock spacer or two to provide a better fit. Training a new shooter? Make sure they have a comfortable experience by customizing the stock for a better fit. Adding a new optic? Easily adjust the comb height for a comfortable cheek-rest point in line with the ocular lens.

Best of all, one of the benefits of the new Savage AccuFit stock system is the careful engineering that ensures the rifle won't become tail-heavy, even with the longest spacer and tallest comb piece installed.

“There’s no doubt in my mind that shooters of all ability levels are going to be more consistent," Shimanski said.

The new Savage AccuFit stocks are available on 13 different options in the company's Model 110 rifle lineup, including the Model 110 Tactical, Model 110 Scout and more.
