As part of its Veterans Day celebration, Brownells is donating five percent of all its sales Nov. 10 to Nov. 12 to Special Operations Wounded Warriors (SOWW), a non-profit group that provides outdoor experiences and therapeutic retreats for veterans and active-duty members of the United States Special Operations Forces who were wounded in action. Aero Precision, DoubleStar, Hornady, Leupold, Magpul, Otis, Wilson Combat and XS Sights have also agreed to donate five percent of their own sales on Brownells to the group during the Stand and Salute Tribute.

SOWW was founded in 2012 and explains on its website, it “…feels that there is not a more deserving group of individuals than our Special Operation Forces members that frequently stand in harm’s way for the protection of our freedoms, often with little or no recognition.” Some of the organization’s events include hog, pheasant and bear hunts, fishing trips and family weekends. It also assists with physical and mental therapies.  “…[W]e truly can make a difference in the life of a service member who has chosen to put their safety at risk while defending our freedoms and that has suffered personal injury in that endeavor,” its home page explains.

“We owe every person who puts on a uniform to serve our country at home or abroad a debt of gratitude and support,” said Brownells CEO Pete Brownell. “Police, firefighters, first responders and especially our military veterans. Brownells is proud to support Special Operations Wounded Warriors for their dedication to help and heal our soldiers.”

“Brownells is a Tier One level supporter of SOWW,” said SOWW Vice President Joel Pellicci. “That’s the highest level of support. We are grateful and thankful for their support that helps us provide therapeutic retreats, fellowship and various kinds of assistance to wounded members of the U.S. Special Operations communities.”
