Ring's Manufacturing introduced one of its newest blueguns for training use: the Smith & Wesson M&P Shield 45.

The M&P Shield training pistol is produced from a solid blue polyurethane that allows users to easily distinguish it from a live firearm. The M&P 45 Shield is a 1:1 exact-scale replica of the original gun from Smith & Wesson and fits existing holsters for the gun, allowing users to practice drawing and retention without using a live gun.

The Smith & Wesson M&P 45 Shield is a compact single-stack semi-automatic handgun chambered in .45 ACP. The gun weighs 20.5 ounces unloaded and features an overall length of 6.45 inches and a width of .99 inches. Barrel length on the Shield is 3.3 inches. The gun comes in two models: one with a thumb safety and one without.

The S&W M&P 45 Shield bluegun is made in the USA and retails at a suggested price of $52.65.
