We've covered the M-LOK handguards from Magpul previously, as well as the many different accessories available for this new attachment method. We've also discussed the different gas systems employed in AR-15-style rifles, so it should come as no surprise Magpul offers an M-LOK handguard for the mid-length gas system as well as rifle and carbine.

Like its longer (and shorter) siblings, the mid-length handguard has M-LOK slots at the 2-, 6- and 10-o'clock position for rails, lights, fore-ends and numerous other accessories. Traditional accessories can be mounted on specific lengths of Picatinny rail (available in sizes ranging from 3 to 11 slots), while M-LOK-specific accessories attach directly to the handguard. It's quick, easy and allows for parts to be swapped out faster than ever thought possible.

The mid-length system is the (relative) newcomer to the AR-15 world, but it is very rapidly becoming as common as the carbine length. With a host of aftermarket options, like this new M-LOK handguard, available, there's a lot to like about this new size. Magpul's line of affordable polymer handguards makes outfitting—and accessorizing—a mid-length system easy.

MSRP: $34.95. Available in black and flat dark earth.
