TerraLux Pro1

TerraLux Pro1

TerraLux introduced the company's Pro family of flashlights late last year. Consisting of the Pro1, Pro2 and Pro3 lights, the series is manufactured from T6-6061 aluminum and feature increased lumen output using next generation CREE LED technology. The series increases in size and output as the number increases, and the Pro1 is the most compact of the three lights.

The Pro1 flashlight made its way across the desk around the time the line was introduced, and it has found its way into the general flashlight rotation. Running on a single AA battery, rather than the less-common CR123, it has become a "go-to" pocket flashlight. With high and low settings (154 and 67.5 lumens respectively) and a run-time of of 1.5 to 4 hours, it fits well both in the hand and in a pocket.

The lanyard is an especially nice touch, too. If you've ever been looking for a small part in a tight space only to lose your light source, you'll appreciate the utility of a simple tether. Be sure to tuck it in your pocket, though, or it will catch on items (like, say, the doorknob to your office which will then comically close right behind you, not that I would know about that of course...)

With an MSRP of only $41.99, this is a durable, useful light to keep about your person as part of your EDC gear.
