Since the SHOT Show hasn't opened yet I haven't personally handled this gun, but I surmise it'll have that trademark functionality and versatility of the Taurus Judge series—in a smaller package. Here's what the company had to say in the press release, "Personal protection, home defense and sport shooting are easy work for the latest Taurus Raging Judge that fires the larger, more powerful 28-gauge shotshell. The first Judge of its kind is ready to take on whatever comes your way. Whatever 'it' happens to be."
