RMR green dot

Trijicon, Inc. is releasing a 3.25 MOA green dot version of the popular RMR Type 2 Adjustable LED reflex sight. The Trijicon RMR (Ruggedized Miniature Reflex) is well-regarded for its ability to provide fast, both-eyes-open target acquisition, accurate aiming and proven reliability on a wide variety of firearms platforms.

The Trijicon RMR in made in the USA and has been proven in the harshest environments on Earth by U.S. Special Operations, law enforcement and outdoorsmen. Built from forged 7075-T6 aluminum to MIL-spec standards, Trijicon’s RMR Type 2 is one of the most rugged and durable reflex sights on the market. Its patented shape absorbs impacts and diverts stresses away from the lens. The compact and lightweight RMR weighs 1.2 ounces and is designed to withstand the rigors of hard use under the most severe environmental conditions.

Green dot sights take advantage of the human eye’s peak sensitivity to green wavelengths, making them appear brighter and easier to acquire in daylight, even at lower brightness settings, which in turn prolongs battery life. Green dots also maintain visibility in bright conditions, are more resistant to washout and perform better in fog, haze, or against complex backgrounds. Green is easier on the eyes, reducing strain during prolonged use and provides a clearer aiming point for many with astigmatism or red-green color blindness. In both low-light and high-glare environments, green delivers vivid contrast and detail, enabling quicker target acquisition and sustained accuracy.

The RMR Type 2 Green Dot features electronics and battery contacts that are designed to increase reliability under the harshest use and stiffest recoil. A Button Lock Out Mode prevents accidental adjustments to your preferred brightness. Battery Conservation Mode adjusts the aiming dot to ambient lighting conditions after 16.5 hours without a button push to further extend battery life without the unit ever shutting itself off.

The CR2032 lithium battery lasts up to two years in the green adjustable LED model at a mid-setting. Audible windage and elevation adjustments allow for quick and easy zeroing with no need for any special tools or devices.

MSRP for the RMR Type 2 Green Dot is $810, and more information on the new optic and the complete range of Trijicon products is available at trijicon.com.
