Scout 25 Ammo Cabinet

Steelhead Outdoors is launching the Scout 25 Ammo Cabinet. The cabinet has four heavy-duty, all-metal, full-width, adjustable shelves and can be customized with additional shelves, door organizer panels and exterior accessories such as the Steelhead Outdoors Case Keeper or Bow Keeper.

"Based on the cost of ammunition, it only made sense to create a Made-in-USA ammo-specific cabinet,” said Steelhead Outdoors Co-Founder Corey Meyer. “The Scout Ammo Cabinet will securely store ammo while firearms can be stowed in our Scout Gun Cabinet or one of our modular safes."

The Scout 25 Ammo Cabinet is 25 inches wide, 60 inches tall and 15 inches deep and weighs 175 pounds. The modular ammo cabinet is shipped in four boxes featuring six panels. The heaviest panel is only 60 pounds, so the cabinet can be assembled by a single person. Once filled, the cabinet will become quite heavy, so it’s essential to anchor the cabinet to the wall or the floor using the included anchoring hardware. Because the Scout is assembled on-site, it can fit in places a traditional safe could never go.

Like Steelhead’s Scout Gun Cabinet, the high security Scout Ammo Cabinet is constructed with 14-gauge steel and a patent-pending vertical beam locking technology. It includes a high-quality, UL listed Sargent and Greenleaf Spartan lock that is protected by a single-layer hard plate. The vertical beam locking technology positions the ¼-inch carriage on end and is fully supported to prevent bending, offering increased security over traditional bolts or bars floating behind a sheet metal door jamb. The locking carriage has eight locking points that will lock every few inches along the door and each locking point engages with eight reinforced slots to thwart pry attacks.

The Scout Ammo Cabinet retails for $1,600 and ships for $150 in the lower 48 United States. More information on this product and other items from Steelhead Outdoors is available at steelheadoutdoors.com
