Henry magazine fed Lever Gun

Henry Repeating Arms has just launched the Henry Supreme , a new lever-action rifle line chambered for .223 Rem./5.56 NATO or .300 BLK that feeds from standard AR-15-pattern detachable box magazines.

The lever-action rifle as most people know it has been in use for over one and a half centuries, dating back to the Civil War-era .44 caliber rimfire original Henry rifle designed by Benjamin Tyler Henry.

The new Henry Supreme lever gun combines the traditional elements of the classic lever gun with conveniences that modern semi-automatic rifles and carbines enjoy. Externally, the new Henry Supreme Lever Gun is dressed in a traditional wooden furniture set and a pair of open sights. However, its barrel is also free-floated, its receiver is drilled and tapped in order to accept modern optic bases and its magazine fed action employs a rotating bolt mechanism to safely handle the high-pressure .223 Rem./5.56 NATO rounds.  As a lever gun, there is no gas-system to contend with, making these rifles excellent for suppressor use.

Henry Supreme Lever Gun Features:

  • 18-inch barrels (5.56 NATO) or 16.5-inch barrels (.300 BLK) are free-floated and have threaded muzzles.
  • Accepts AR-15 pattern detachable box magazines, the most common type of rifle magazine in the United States
  • Magazine-fed means that the Henry Supreme Lever gun isn’t limited to blunt or soft-point bullets as there is no traditional tubular-fed magazine to consider
  • Modernized action eliminates the need for an exposed hammer which seals off the rear of the receiver from the elements and extra dirt or debris from the field. This modernized lever action also rotates to lock and can accommodate the high-pressure bottleneck 5.56 mm cartridge.
  • Made in the USA in Rice Lake, Wisconsin
