The new tactix 7 Series smart watches from Garmin are designed to go from the gym to a range of tactical and high adventure activities such as HALO jumping and long-range rifle shooting. These new watches offer a wealth of features including night vision gear compatibility, GNSS satellite navigation, solar charging, weather reporting and much more.

Another feature that will be of interest to long range shooters and hunters is the integrated Applied Ballistics Elite software that imports data from compatible weather meters and range finders. Along with the Applied Ballistics Bullet Library and your ability to create custom profiles, you can generate a great deal of useable ballistic data.

For those going into harms way, there are a number of technologies that may be of importance like the jumpmaster mode that uses military guidelines, navigation and release point information. A built-in kill switch can wipe the system.

“The new tactix 7 Series is an ideal premium timepiece for everyday use while pulling double duty as a must-have for any tactical kit. Whether heading to the gym, hiking with your family or preparing to land on the X, you can depend on tactix 7 to help get you there,” said Dan Bartel, Garmin vice president of global consumer sales. “Thanks to premium materials and a new sophisticated design, tactix 7 is a trusted companion whether you’re in the field on assignment or in a meeting with clients. It is truly a watch ready for any challenge.”

This is in addition to more pedestrian features such as a touchscreen interface, built-in sports and work out apps, skiing, surfing, golfing and other programs.

Garmin is now offering these watches at a range of price points. The Standard model carries an MSRP of $1,099.99. The Pro model has a suggested retail price of $1,299.99, and the Pro Ballistics model is offered at $1,599.99. For additional information, visit Garmin’s website, garmin.com.
