25 Creedmoor

Hornady is introducing the new 25 Creedmoor cartridge. Recently accepted by Sporting Arms and Manufacturers Institute (SAAMI), the 25 Creedmoor continues the legacy and performance of the Creedmoor family of cartridges. Consumer ammunition offerings will feature bullets selected to deliver the shot, no matter if it is for hunting, competition shooting or other long-range-shooting applications.

“The 25 Creedmoor is the end result of our constant pursuit of maximizing ballistic potential.” said Jayden Quinlan, senior ballistician at Hornady. “This cartridge fills that competitive niche between 6mm and 6.5mm—providing shooters the absolute best blend of moderate recoil, flat trajectory, and superior wind resistance,” he added.

By using modern design methodology, the 25 Creedmoor is the first SAAMI-accepted 25-caliber cartridge designed to take full advantage of the sleek, low-drag bullets now available. In addition to this, a number of gun manufacturers are producing rifles and accessories in 25 Creedmoor, including Alpha Munitions, Carbon Six, Christensen Arms, GA Precision, Helix 6, Horizon Firearms, HS Precision, MOA Rifles, Preferred Barrels, Proof Research, Seekins Precision, Straight Jacket Armory, Stuteville Precision, TS Customs, Uintah Precision, Weatherby, West Texas Ordnance and others.

“Variants of the 25 Creedmoor have existed in the wildcat space for quite some time and for good reason. It gives the discerning shooter a competitive advantage. Now we can offer that same level of performance to the shooter with factory ammo offerings.” said Quinlan.

The 25 Creedmoor will be available in the following product lines:

  • 25 Creedmoor 128-grain. ELD-X Precision Hunter
  • 25 Creedmoor 134-grain ELD Match
