Four Peaks Tactical 300 HAM'R

Four Peaks Tactical, a boutique firearms manufacturer based out of Scottsdale, AZ, is releasing a new 11.3-inch short barreled rifle (SBR) version of their 16 inch AR-15 carbine. Chambered in 300 HAM’R, Four Peak’s new SBR started as a request from one of their clients, a law enforcement agency who needed a “harder hitting” SBR AR using an alternative cartridge to the standard 5.56mm options.

“Our new 11.3 inch carbine in 300 HAM’R provides excellent terminal performance, delivering more than twice the bullet weight of standard M193 or M855 5.56 mm projectiles and launched with a muzzle velocity of approximately 2,300 feet per second” said Ted Malone, co-founder of Four Peaks. “It is 100-percent American-made and meticulously crafted by our veteran-owned family enterprise here in Arizona,” he added.

Four Peaks Tactical also offers this SBR in pistol configuration for customers who cannot or may not wish to burden themselves with the NFA compliance requirements.

The 300 HAM’R is a relatively new .30 caliber cartridge developed by Wilson Combat that uses many standard AR-15 component and parts dimensions. While it is often compared to the popular .300 Blackout cartridge, the 300 HAM’R round has a slightly longer case that allows for additional powder capacity and uses lighter weight bullets than .300 Blackout. This results in the 300 HAM’R cartridge pushing .30-caliber projectiles at supersonic velocities, and unlike the Blackout it wasn’t also created for subsonic use.

This new SBR AR includes:

  • 3.5 pound Rise Armament quick-reset trigger
  • Freefloat 12 inch M-Lok handguard
  • Rogers Super Stock
  • 1:13-inch twist stainless steel, 11.3 inch barrel
  • Ambidextrous controls
  • Custom muzzle brake
  • SB Tactical SBA4 pistol brace (for AR Pistol versions)
  • Built with Wilson Combat parts and components

Retail pricing for the Four Peaks Tactical 300 HAM’R SBR starts at $1,995. For more information on the Four Peaks Tactical 300 HAM’R SBR, please visit the Four Peaks Tactical website, at 4ptactical.com.
