SIG Sauer recently introduced the P220 Legion Carry SAO, an enhanced version of the company's legendary P220 .45 ACP pistol. The P220 Legion Carry SAO joins other models in SIG Sauer’s Legion lineup and is finished in a proprietary Legion Gray coating and features custom G10 grips with a Legion medallion.
The original P220 is where it all began for today’s SIG handgun, and the limited edition P220 Legion model builds on that legacy. The pistol features SIG's highly sought-after SAO (Single Action Only) trigger and a manual safety, and the stainless-steel slide sports SIG Sauer Electro-Optics X-RAY high visibility day/night sights.The front cocking serrations on the stainless steel slide offer greater purchase for cycling the action, clearing the firearm or conducting press checks.
The P220 Legion Carry SAO includes a reduced and contoured Elite beavertail that allows for a higher grip and a reduced profile. The shape of the beavertail helps reduce printing, and a more aggressive front strap checkering and additional checkering under the trigger guard enhances your grip on the pistol. An X-Five undercut has been applied to the trigger guard, which allows for a higher grip and greater control, even during rapid fire. The P220 Carry Legion SAO ships with three eight-round magazines.
