Probably the most radical shotgun on the market, the IWI US Tavor TS12 is a semi-automatic bullpup shotgun that feeds from a three-tubed rotating reservoir. Each tube holds either four 3-inch shells or five 2 3/4-inchers for a maximum total of 15 plus one. Its action functions via a short-stroke piston. This, all from a 28-inch shotgun with a 18.5-inch barrel. It's got M-Lok-style rals, a long top rail for optics, choke tubes and four sling attachments. It features an innovative safety and is loaded from two ports on either side of the receiver until all tubes are full.

The only thing I don't like about it is the lack of a cheekpiece, because the straight-line receiver/buttstock is flat and hard that I'd worry about the shooter's cheek getting pounded. Nonetheless, this is the bullpup shotgun of the future—and it's not as expensive as you might think, with an MSRP of $1,399. It's not hard to imagine that once the Tavor TS12 starts hitting gun stores--and shooter's cheeks--the aftermarket will start offering option for cheekpieces. The TS12 represents IWI's first entry into the shotgun market, following the medium-caliber TS7 launched recently and the original X95 and SAR in 5.56 NATO.
