It’s probably not the ideal choice for your home defense needs and we haven’t seen a holster on the SHOT Show floor yet for the Remington Model 700-CP (Chassis Pistol) Arm Brace. If you’re into shooting steel silhouettes and adjustable shorties that perform at long distance, though, look no further.

The Model 700-CP Arm Brace is available chambered for 6.5 Creedmoor, .300 Blackout and .223 Rem. All have 12.5-inch, light-contour, carbon steel barrels, with their respective rate of left-hand rifling at one turn per 8, 7 and 10 inches.

An SB Tactical SBA3 arm brace is what sets the this pistol apart from its Model 700-CP predecessor. It’s adjustable to five positions and, as a result, overall lengths of the pistols come in at 27 to 30 inches for the 6.5 Creedmoor and .223 Rem. models and the .300 Blackout measures 25 to 28 inches.

All come with the hard-coat anodized, forged-aluminum Remington Precision Chassis and a detachable 10-round magazine. Their X-Mark Pro trigger is externally adjustable and comes factory set with a let-off weight between 3.5 and 5 pounds. Each have an MLOK compatible, free-floated handguard to mount accessories. A QD sling mount is at the rear of the arm brace and optic mounting is fast and easy, thanks to a one-piece cantilever optics rail. The pistol is built around Remington’s famed 700 bolt action.

Barrels are threaded for muzzle devices and each ship with a thread protector. An oversized mag release ensures positive operation even with gloved hands.

The Remington Model 700-CP has identical features, but a QD sling mount at the rear instead of the arm brace. It’s offered in .308 Win. with a 12.5-inch barrel and 1:10 rifling, instead of the Arm Brace model’s Creedmoor chambering.

Overall lengths for this version in .300 Blackout and .223 Rem. are 19.5 inches and .308 Win. measures 21.5.
