Rimfire precision competitions are a great way to experience the fun of shooting a precision rifle match, but with .22 LR rifles. A precision-rimfire competition lets you experience a course of fire very similar to a longer-ranged precision rifle match, but at much shorter distances and lower ammunition costs. A staple of the precision rifle series is the “know-your-limits” target, where a shooter engages increasingly smaller discs at 200 yards or more, giving you a good grasp of the level of accuracy and precision you and your gun are capable of attaining at extended distances.

Birchwood Casey has now come out with the Back Drop Precision Rimfire target to help bring the excitement and challenge of the “know-your-limits” target array to precision rimfire shooting, all in an incredibly affordable package that any shooter can enjoy. The Back Drop Precision Rimfire target builds accuracy by offering three shooting ports that will each flip up a steel paddle when the target is hit. The three shooting ports become smaller and smaller as the shooter moves from left to right on the target, giving you a variety of difficulty levels and an increased need for accuracy as the target narrows down.

KEY FEATURES:

Knock-down style target
Graduated shooting ports for varied level of difficulty
Encourages smooth target transition and precision
Compatible with all .22 LR rifles
MSRP: $39.99

The Back Drop Precision Rimfire target is a great option for fine tuning smooth target transition and precision shooting, and it’s a great way to help new shooters develop the skills they need to take their marksmanship to the next level.
