In response to the popularity of Springfield Armory's Saint Victor and Saint Edge pistols, the company announced it was rolling out a new Saint Pistol in 5.56 NATO for 2019.

With a suggested retail price of just $849, the Saint Pistol 5.56 NATO offers shooters a new level of quality and performance while remaining affordable to budget-minded shooters. A number of upgraded features are included on the new pistol, and all of these elements are designed to provide end users with an ideal platform for personal defense.

To maximize the ballistic performance of the 5.56 NATO round, each Springfield Armory Saint Pistol has a 9.6-inch barrel made from chrome-moly vanadium steel. This barrel length ensures that users still retain adequate muzzle velocity for the 5.56 NATO round while also keeping the gun maneuverable. The adjustable Trinity Force Breach pistol-stabilizing brace also provides an added point of contact for additional stability.

Providing durability and corrosion resistance, the barrel of the Saint Pistol is Melonite-treated, and the forged 7075-T6 aluminum upper and lower receivers provide a strong, lightweight core that'll stand up to years of range and personal-defense use. Each Saint Pistol includes an M16 bolt-carrier group machined from Carpenter 158 steel, which is is shot-peened and magnetic-particle-inspected for long-term durability.

The upper receiver on the Saint Pistol is an optics-ready, flattop design, and the pistol also features a pinned Picatinny rail-topped, all-steel gas block ready to accept a front sight or other accessory. The Saint Pistol also sports Springfield Armory’s Accu-Tite tension system to ensure a tight lock-up between the upper and lower receiver, which prevents movement and rattling between the two receiver halves.

Springfield Armory Saint Pistols also features an exclusive BCMGunfighter PMCR two-piece handguard with M-Lok-compatible attachment points. The handguard features aluminum heat shields and a built-in handstop for added comfort and safety and is paired up with a BCMGunfighter Mod. 3 pistol grip for exceptional handling. The Saint Pistol weighs in at 5.5 pounds unloaded and measures 25.75 to 28.25 inches long.

The MSRP on the Springfield Armory Saint Pistol is $849. For more information, visit springfield-armory.com.
