Colt made waves in 2017 with the company's re-entry into the revolver market with its Cobra in .38 Spl., followed by the low-profile, concealed-carry oriented Night Cobra in 2018. Now, the company's bringing the magnum back with the new-for-2019 Colt King Cobra revolver chambered in .357 Mag.

"Our customers started asking for a .357 [Mag.] version of our Cobra immediately after the release, and at that moment, we knew we had to prioritize this great addition to the Cobra family," said Justin Baldini, product director at Colt. "We couldn't be more excited to add the power of .357 Mag. back into Colt's Double Action Revolver lineup."

With availability starting in January 2019, consumers can head to their dealers to find the latest addition to the Colt revolver family, which is constructed on a frame machined from American-sourced stainless steel and complete with a brushed-stainless finish. The solid, heavy-duty frame is paired with a full-lug barrel measuring 3 inches long. Total capacity in the Cobra's cylinder is six rounds, which sets all of Colt's small-frame guns apart from comparably sized revolvers featuring only a five-round cylinder capacity.

Consumers will also enjoy the versatility of the sighting system included on the Colt King Cobra, which includes a user-replaceable, brass-bead front-sight blade. The guns are also equipped with the second-generation Linear Leaf spring trigger, a trademarked feature found in all new Colt revolvers. Each gun is also outfitted with an enlarged trigger guard for use with gloved hands.

An extended hammer spur allows shooters to fire the gun in both single- and double-action modes, and an ergonomic, textured, Hogue Overmolded rubber grip complete with finger grooves ensures that shooters are able to comfortably and easily manage the increased recoil of .357 Mag. Unloaded, the revolver weighs 28 ounces. The suggested retail price on the new Colt King Cobra is $899.
