Following its acquisition of Hexmag magazines, Sentry Products Group announced the company's first pistol magazine, designed specifically for use in the Glock G17 and compatible with a number of popular Glock handguns currently on the market.

“This is the first new product since the acquisition of Hexmag and our goal was to come out with a completely new design blending the best of metal and polymer magazine technologies with Hexmag’s signature design attributes,” said Eric Yeates, VP of product development. “The result is a skeletonized stainless-steel core and feed lips providing strength and reliability with a polymer over mold for ultimate durability.”

Like original Hexmag magazines, these new Sentry Hexmag Glock pistol magazines are constructed with the industry's latest composite materials, providing enhanced strength and rigidity for premium performance in rugged field and range conditions. Each Hexmag is built with a unique hexagonal pattern on each side of the magazine body, trademarked by the company as its Hexture finish. This design offers added gripping surface, ensuring that users won't lose control of their magazines while performing rapid reloads, particularly in wet conditions. Additional texture can be found on the front face of the magazine body, promoting the use of a shooter's support-hand forefinger as an indexing point for a rapid reload.

Other features found in the Sentry Hexmag pistol magazines include a self-lubricating, anti-tilt follower and a stainless-steel, heat-treated magazine spring designed to provide enhanced reliability over the life of the magazine. Consumers can also take advantage of the mag's tool-free takedown design for easy maintenance, and the unique HexID identification system allows owners to organize and keep track of their magazines.

The Sentry Hexmag Glock pistol magazines hold 17 rounds and can be used with most aftermarket basepad extenders designed for use on OEM Glock G17 magazines. Witness holes in the rear of the magazine body enable users to keep track of rounds loaded. The magazine is compatible with Gen 3 to 5 models of the Glock G17, G19, G26 and G34. Options designed to hold 10 rounds will also be offered for states with magazine-capacity limits. Suggested retail pricing on the magazines start at $21.99, and the magazines will be available to consumers starting in August 2018.
