Atlas Gunworks enhanced its competition offerings in 2018 with the release of the company's all-new Nemesis pistol, designed to give competitive shooters an edge against competitors with more-traditional competition guns.

“The Nemesis truly is an amazing pistol for Limited shooters," Atlas Gunworks President Adam Nislon said. "Recoil is softer and flatter than traditional guns allowing the gun to return to true zero. The sight system allows for faster shooting and follow up shots that are always closer to true zero."

The stand-out feature on the Atlas Gunworks Nemesis competition pistol is the incorporation of a front-sight block, a feature not often seen on handguns. With this fixed block surrounding the barrel, the rest of the slide is shortened, contributing to a lighter overall weight and less mass moving during operation. Additionally, the block provides extra weight at the end of the barrel to counterbalance recoil, and the front sight is fixed in position, remaining immobile atop the block.

In addition to the unique front-sight gas block, The Atlas Nemesis also incorporates lightening cuts on the slide and an adjustable rear sight for target use. The gun features an oversized magazine well for improved reloading, as well as a flared ejection port to ensure consistent, dependable ejection. The pistol is built with a KKM bull barrel measuring 5 inches long, and the entire gun is finished with either a DLC coating or a DLC/PVD gray coat combination.

The pistol also features the company's aggressively textured PT EVO grip, and the competition pedigree of the gun is signaled through the brightly finished X-Line Vario trigger purpose-built for competition use. Together, all of these elements combine to produce an ideal option for enthusiasts looking to tackle USPSA Limited, 3-gun or IPSC standard shooting competitions.

Each Atlas Gunworks Nemesis competition pistol ships with a case and a single 140 mm magazine. The guns can be had in 9 mm, .40 S&W or .45 ACP, depending on consumer preference. In keeping with Atlas Gunworks' mission to provide custom-finished guns without the extensive wait usually associated with such builds, the company promises to deliver a finished Nemesis within 3 months of ordering. The starting price for the pistol is $4,750.
