Concerns of Police Survivors (C.O.P.S.)—a nationally recognized non-profit organization dedicated to supporting law enforcement and their family members—has already received $75,000 in funding generated from the sales of Apex Tactical Specialties popular Thin Blue Line Series of triggers. The lineup was introduced on Oct. 31, 2016, and includes aftermarket versions for the Smith & Wesson M&P, M&P Shield, Glock and Walther PPQ pistols. Twenty five percent of the proceeds the company receives from the products are donated in the ongoing program, and ultimately go to help those who “Protect and Serve.”

Each year, between 140 and 160 law enforcement officers lose their lives in the line of duty. C.O.P.S. was founded in 1984 and today has more than 50 chapters nationwide with its headquarters in Missouri.

“C.O.P.S. thanks Apex Tactical for not only their exceptional product created to honor the thin blue line of law enforcement, but for their generous support of law enforcement survivors,” said Dianne Berhard, executive director of C.O.P.S. “Apex Tactical is truly a company who honors our nation's heroes and never forgets those left behind.”

The National Police Survivors’ Conference, which takes place every May during National Police Week, is one of many programs administered by C.O.P.S. The organization also provides a counseling reimbursement program, a summer camp, an Outward Bound experience, scholarships and peer-support. The many other programs it also oversees includes retreats in an effort to help spouses, siblings, fiances, children, extended family and co-workers.

Scott Folk, COO of Apex Tactical Specialties, said, “Thanks to the continued support from our customers for our Thin Blue Line Series…” Additional models are scheduled to be released before the end of the year, making it easier than ever to help those who answer the call when the unthinkable happens.
