While we all know the importance of good eye protection on the range (take one piece of hot brass to the eyebrow and you'll forever remember the difference between a pair of reading specs and eye pro. Don't ask me how I know...), swapping between outdoor and indoor lenses can be a chore. One solution is to use an amber lens, which is okay for both scenarios. Another is to have two pairs of safety glasses, one tinted for outdoors and one clear for inside.

Revision Military has a third solution: Photochromic lenses. These lenses in the Hellfly series of glasses darken in direct sunlight and provide 100 percent protection from ultraviolet rays. Optical-grade, polycarbonate lenses offer a picture free from distortion, and the wraparound design protects against intrusion on the sides, too.

The Hellfly glasses offer impact-resistance in accordance with American National Standards Institute (ANSI) specifications and military standards. They're even compatible with prescription lenses, and can be ordered in conjunction with your own prescription. A wide variety of frame colors and options are available.

MSRP: $99.99, although Revision is currently offering the Hellfly glasses for $79.99.
