The sights feature a spring-loaded deployment system that activates with the push of a button on the left side of the unit, allowing right-handed shooters to use their support hand to deploy the iron sights without removing their dominant hand from a firing grip. Once the sights flip up, they lock positively and require the user to depress the deployment button to lock the sights back down.
The sights are made from aircraft-grade aluminum and feature a hard-coat-anodized matte black finish that meets or exceeds military specifications. When folded down, the Quick-Deploy Sights measure .435 inches from the top of the rail. This allows users to mount an optic and the quick-deploy sights on the same rail, thus enabling the sights to be deployed as an immediate backup, should the main optic be removed.
YHM Quick-Deploy front and rear sights mount on the same plane and use standard hardware. They are available with either a hooded or a standard stem. Suggested retail price on the sight pair is $218.50.
