Mec-Gar USA announced the reintroduction of its 10-round 9 mm 1911 magazines after removing the product line for a redesign to improve functionality.

The new 9 mm magazine features a body made from carbon steel that is heat-treated for added strength. The body contains numbered witness holes so that shooters can easily determine how many rounds are available. New features include an upgraded anti-tilt polymer follower. The magazine spring is made from Type D music wire.

The magazine features a removable baseplate made from high-impact polymer that is redesigned to ensure easy cleaning. The baseplate is tapered to fit both standard and tapered 1911 magwells. The new magazine also features an anti-friction coating that is designed to reduce the force necessary to slide the top round from the magazine feed lips into the round's chamber. The coating also has the benefit of anti-corrosion properties.

Mec-Gar's 10-round 9 mm 1911 magazines retail at a suggested price of $30.60.
