Speed Sight's Diamond Series of handgun sights incorporates a new system of target acquisition that, according to the company, provides a more intuitive approach that works with a shooter's eyes.

The Diamond Series features a fluorescent diamond set into the front sight post that works with a pair of white diamonds set into the rear sight in order to provide an immediate triple-diamond pattern lockup when acquiring a target. The system works by incorporating the often-taught front sight focus approach into iron sight technology.

The sights themselves are made from 7075 T5 aluminum alloy, which is used in aerospace engineering. This gives them a traditional hardness rating that is greater than many common steels, and the sights can withstand a great deal of pressure before fracturing. The sights are also mil-spec anodized to provide an extra level of durability and corrosion resistance. The inset sighting elements are a proprietary blend of highly reflective pigment that is coated to resist water, oil and solvents.

Speed Sight Diamonds are designed to install with less force than traditional iron sights, and the company includes a set of instructions with every sight system sold to ensure seamless installation. Some slight polishing may be required with fine-grit sandpaper before installation.

The Speed Sights Diamond Series is available with and without Tritium inserts. Sights are available for Glock, Springfield XD, Sig Sauer and Smith & Wesson M&P handguns. Color choices for front sight posts are green, orange and hot pink.

Retail prices on rear sights with Tritium inserts is $109.99. Without Tritium inserts, rear sights retail for $66.64. Front sights with a Tritium insert retail for $55. Without a Tritium insert, front sights retail for $33.34.
