We all recognize the importance of stability to accurate shooting. As a general rule, using two hands to shoot a pistol will yield superior accuracy to a single hand. Using a sling on a rifle will be an improvement over unsupported shooting. When shooting from a benchrest, we use rests and bags.

In the field, though, support often comes in improvised form. A pack becomes a rest, and the rear of the rifle is left jammed against the strong side for support. At best the support hand might get pressed under the buttstock to support the rear of the rifle.

With the FAB Defense Monopod Buttstock attachment, there's always support available at the push of a button. The add-on slips onto either of the existing FAB Defense line of buttstocks (GL-Shock and GL-MAG buttstocks), and provides an adjustable monopod. The monopod has a built-in, threaded adjustment that can raise the rear an additional 3 inches.

MSRP: $96.80. Available in black, Flat Dark Earth and OD green
