IWI US introduced the Galil Ace, a 16-inch barrel carbine, which will be available to U.S. consumers in March of 2015.

The Ace family of rifles are based on the Israeli Galil assault rifle. The initial offering is a semi-automatic carbine chambered in 7.62x39 mm and utilizes standard AK-47 magazines. It comes equipped with multiple Picatinny rails for a wide range of accessories. The Galil Ace is designed to be maintained without tools required for field-stripping and will be available with a collapsible or folding buttstock.

Other calibers and options will become available in the future. Check Shooting Illustrated and ShootingIllustrated.com for coverage and more information as it becomes available.
