Mossberg introduced seven new MVP Flex rifles in 5.56 NATO featuring stocks with the Flex TLS Tool-less Locking System that made waves on the company's shotguns last year. The rifles also feature the company's patent-pending drop-push bolt design that accepts and feeds from standard AR-style magazines, the first of its kind for bolt-action rifles. Barrel options include a fluted 20-inch sporter and an 18.5-inch medium bull design with an 11-degree tapered crown. Optional threaded barrels with A2-style flash suppressor/thread cap are also available. Two scoped combos will be offered, which include a 3-9x32 mm riflescope with an illuminated reticle. Mossberg's patented LBA adjustable trigger, a distinctive spiral-fluted bolt, a receiver-mounted Picatinny rail and a 10-round magazine are standard on all models. 7.62 NATO models will be available this summer.
MVP Flex Rifles are equipped with the TLS Tool-less Locking System connector to allow removal/remounting of stocks in seconds. They are compatible with Flex stocks in various styles, lengths of pull and finishes.
