With Blackhawk's proprietary "Zero Trace" signal blocking technology, it claims electronic devices are protected from remote exploitation by blocking incoming and outgoing signals. The pouch also shields against reading of RFID technology found in IDs and other personal effects that can be put inside the pouch with your cell phone.

Constructed of 1050 denier nylon and featuring hook-and-loop closures, the pouch protects from the elements as well as intrusion (it is not waterproof nor water-resistant, however). It will still fit in a shirt pocket as determined through rigorous Shooting Illustrated testing. We also determined that you should probably turn your phone off before putting in the pouch, as while the pouch blocks incoming and outgoing attempts to access data, it won't stop your phone from trying...
