On Monday, FN America, LLC announced today the launch of the FN Expert™, a premier marksmanship training system that offers the latest shot correction technology based on years of experience with commercial and military users worldwide.

"The FN Expert™ is the ideal tool for shooters who want to quickly and efficiently improve their basic marksmanship skills," said Tom Loper, Vice President of Federal Operations for FN America. "It can be mounted to any MIL-STD 1913 rail surface or attached directly to the barrel and can be used without interference with optics or accessories.   The FN Expert works dry-fire, live fire drills, with blanks, or with a CO2 pneumatic recoil simulator.   This capability increases shooter proficiency by improving the ability to group shots consistently.  The ability to group successfully improves marksmanship and increases throughput at Engagement Skills Training at centrally located simulators.  This improves unit readiness while reducing training costs."

The FN Expert™ software depicts point-of-aim and weapon movement during aiming and triggering stages.  The shot trace is wirelessly delivered to a tablet computer allowing shooters to get real-time shot correction.  The trace measures position of the rifle, aim point, breath control and trigger control.

The FN Expert™ is a superior training system for NCO/SNCO marksmanship coaches that provide visual cues and graded scores sheets from beginner to expert shooters.  These tailorable measures of shooter proficiency support basic teaching skills and improve coaching technique for differing levels of shooters.

Finally, the reduction in range travel and other logistics costs, in addition to improved qualification rates makes the system very cost effective.
