New Riflescopes SHOT Show 2024

Rifles and scopes go together like peanut butter and jelly. Here's a smattering of some that stood out this year at SHOT Show 2024.

Trijicon 5-25x50 Tenmile

At this year’s show, Trijicon keeps expanding its Tenmile product line of long-distance riflescopes. The new first focal plane 5-25x56 mm Trijicon Tenmile HX5 stood out for its glass quality, edge to edge clarity and eyebox at both ends of its magnification range. This MOA-based scope has an MOA ranging reticle which isn’t very busy and provides a good view of the target and surrounding environment. The Tenmile HX5 is built around a 30mm main tube and illumination capabilities powered by a single coin style CR 2032 battery. The reticle can be set up to be either red or green with five different illumination levels.

Schmidt & Bender 10-60x56 CM II “High Performance” ELR

German optics behemoth Schmidt & Bender has always had a reputation for selling high-end optics with some of the best optical glass in the world. This year, the showcase product is a powerful 6x 10-60x56 mm CM II “High Performance” ELR (extreme long range) riflescope. The high magnification of 10-60X magnification is ideal for Benchrest, F-Class and extreme long range shooters who need to be able to see their targets and the surrounding environment precisely. This is why this scope will be available with 0.05 MRAD or ⅛-MOA turrets as well as the standard 0.10 MRAD or ¼-MOA options. Similarly discerning shooters will have the choice of FFP or SFP models.

Leupold Mk5 FDE

For a few years now, Leupold’s Mk5 HD family has been the Oregon-based company’s premier line of go-to tactical precision riflescopes. This line stands out for several reasons, including a great eyebox and light gathering ability in addition to having a slightly larger 35 mm main tube (which allows for a tad more internal elevation adjustment). For 2024, Leupold is offering 3 out of 4 models (their 3.6-18x44, 5-25x56 and 7-35x56) with an external FDE finish in addition to the standard anodized black. Now tactical shooters who like their optics to match their modern FDE finished guns have another great option to choose from.

EOTech Vudu X 2-12x40 mm

EOTech’s new Vudu X 2-12x40 mm riflescope is one of the new products in EOTech’s new Vudu X product line–a slightly different offshoot of the company’s Vudu line with affordability and consumer value in mind. Certainly, part of the reason the company can sell it for the listed price of $859 is by making this scope in the Philippines, a country that has been making a name for itself when it comes to selling good quality but affordable scopes. This new Vudu X 2-12x40 mm is for general purpose shooting or hunting, has a second focal plane reticle and can be had in either MOA or MRAD.
