Fresh on the heels of its first-ever handgun launch, O.F. Mossberg & Sons is rolling out a new variant in its handgun line for 2019: the 9 mm MC1sc (subcompact) handgun in Stainless Two-Tone. Available in both standard-frame and cross-bolt safety frame versions, the MC1sc Stainless Two-Tone subcompacts join the rest of the MC1sc lines as the first semi-automatic pistols in the company’s 100-year history.

The MC1sc Stainless Two-Tone teams up a bead-blasted, stainless-steel slide with a matte-black polymer frame. The stainless-steel slide has aggressive multi-angle serrations for fast and secure slide manipulations and features dovetail-mounted, low-profile white three-dot sights. The glass-reinforced polymer frame provides high impact and chemical resistance along with high tensile strength and stiffness. The 3.4-inch stainless-steel barrel is covered with a black DLC (Diamond-Like Coating) finish and sports a 1:16-inch twist rate.

The MC1sc Stainless Two-Tone also features a flat-profile trigger with integrated blade safety and a reversible cross-bolt safety is an available option. The trigger has a short, tactile reset, reduced overtravel, a 5-to 6-pound trigger pull weight, and the trigger guard is oversized for ease of access and comfort. Just like the rest of the MC1sc line, this model comes with a flush-fitting six-round and also an extended seven-round magazine.

The magazines are built out of a transparent polymer compound for durability and ease of use, allowing you to quickly tell how many rounds are loaded in your magazine. The pistol also has a reversible magazine release, and the frame features Mossberg’s signature texturing, along with a palm swell and a grip angle similar to a 1911 for a more comfortable, confident grip. Unlike many other striker-fired pistols, the MC1sc Stainless Two-Tone features the exclusive, patent-pending Mossberg STS (Safe Takedown System), which does not require you to pull the trigger in order to disassemble for routine cleaning or maintenance.
