The precision rifle shooting is growing by leaps and bounds, and there is a new-found respect inside the sport for both the AR-10 platform and the 6.5 Creedmoor round. Adams Arms has combined both of these and added in some extra magic from Proof Research to create an AR-10 in 6.5 Creeedmoor that is extraordinarily light for a rifle with a 24-inch barrel.

One of the special features of this rifle is its free-floating, carbon fiber-wrapped barrel from Proof Research. By using carbon fiber to strengthen the barrel, this rifle, with all its features, weighs in at only 8.8 pounds. The P3+ uses a short-stroke gas piston system, making for a cleaner firing chamber and less obnoxious gases shoved into the face of the person behind the gun, a five-position adjustable gas block and a muzzle brake from American Precision Arms. Other highlights on the P3+ include an ambidextrous charging handle, safety and bolt release, making it easy to use for left-handed shooters right out of the box.

The gun is set up right from the factory with precision shots in mind. It features a flat-faced trigger from AR Gold that has a 2.5-pound trigger pull, a LUTH-AR stock with adjustable cheek riser and a grip from Ergo grips. The forend of the rifle is festooned on three sides with M-LOK slots, making it easy to attach accessories right where you want them, and the top of the upper has the usual Picatinny rail to securely mount your scope of choice.

The P3+ has an MSRP of $3,900 and ships with one Magpul SR25 magazine.
