Smartphones are getting smarter with every evolution, and these technological developments come at a price. Some smartphones are sold for more than $1,000. Protect your smartphone investment with the UAG Trooper Series iPhone Case from Urban Armor Gear.

This case is constructed from shock-resistant polymer, and the core of the Trooper Series is its feather-light core, which is designed to withstand impacts. Specifically, the company claims that its Trooper Series iPhone Case meets MIL-STD 810G 516.6 standards, as tested by Met Laboratories.

The company takes pride in the fact that its case meets these drop standards without the phone suffering any damage to the screen. To meet these standards, phone cases must be dropped from a height of 48 inches on the front face, back face, sides and corners a total of 26 times. If the phone does not receive any screen damage from these drops, then the product is certified as MIL-STD.

The case provides this protection with a number of shock-absorbing elements in its construction, all designed to absorb the impact shock without transferring it to the phone itself. The Trooper Series case manages to provide this protection without being oversized, allowing for easy pocket carry. The "featherweight" moniker used by the company holds true, thanks to the light 2.05-ounce weight of the case itself.

Spec-wise, the case measures 5.52 inches long, 2.73 inches in width and has a 0.66-inch thickness. All of these specs are in line with many other impact-resistant phone cases on the market, but the UAG Trooper Series iPhone Case has an extra feature that many other phone cases don't have.

On the back face of the case, users will find a hinged lid that pops open to reveal a hidden storage space inside. The interior dimensions of the case are about 3.5 inches long and 2.15 inches wide, and the company says that the space provides enough room to easily fit up to four credit cards. Users could also easily add in a card, license and some spare cash as well, preventing them from having to carry a wallet or a purse and providing a streamlined, minimalist carry option.

Other features of the UAG Trooper Series iPhone Case is its inclusion of oversized buttons that allow for easy access to all the features of a compatible iPhone. The case is also completely compatible with the Apple Pay system.

Cases are available in black, white and rust colors and are sized to fit the iPhone 8, 7, 6 and 6S. The suggested retail price on the UAG Trooper Series iPhone Case is $39.95.
