Two new pistols from S&W

Smith & Wesson is introducing two new pistols into its lineup, a 9mm micro-compact with a threaded barrel and a .40 S&W version of a popular, value-priced defensive pistol.

Shield Plus w/ Threaded Barrel

Smith & Wesson’s Shield Plus is now available with a threaded barrel. This new addition to the Shield Plus family features a 3.7-inch-long, ½x28-tpi threaded barrel. The slide also has a cut for a red dot optic and has night sights at the front and rear. The pistol also ships with a new 15-round magazine as well as a 10-round and a 13-round magazine.

SD40 2.0 2-Tone

The new trigger design on the SD 2.0 series offers a more consistent pull that gives shooters a repeatable experience to help aid in their accuracy. More serrations on the slide make for more efficient manipulations during the reload process. Existing SD accessories like holsters, lights, and lasers work with this new pistol.

SD40 2.0 2-Tone Features:

  • Flat-face Trigger: The new flat-face Self Defense Trigger in this pistol offers a smoother take-up, crisp break and audible reset. The flat design also offers more consistency for shooters.
  • Aggressive Slide Serrations: More slide serration coverage to aid in manipulations.
  • Compatible with SD Accessories: Compatible with existing holsters, lights, and lasers designed for the original SD40.
