Trojan Firearms followed up on the success of its TFA-15C trigger with the introduction of its new TFA-15F Flat Drop-In Trigger designed for the AR-15 platform.

The new trigger offers shooters a cleaner single-stage trigger pull with a crisp break. The company aimed to eliminate overtravel as much as possible while providing owners with complete adjustability, allowing them to fine-tune their AR triggers to their personal preferences. Users have the ability to adjust the trigger anywhere from 2.5 to 6.5 pounds.

The Trojan Firearms TFA-15F trigger is CNC-machined entirely from a combination of 4140 heat-treated steel and aircraft-grade aluminum and features the company's own mounting apparatus that works to maintain and solidify the trigger inside of the receiver, ensuring that shooters always have a solid, dependable trigger assembly that won't loosen up under rigorous use.

In addition to the crisp trigger pull, the TFA-15F trigger also produces an almost indistinguishable reset distance, allowing shooters to get back on the trigger quickly, aiding in rapid follow-up shots. In order to aid in providing a clean pull, Trojan Firearms ensures that all contact surfaces inside the assembly are polished. These surfaces are then treated with the company's trademarked BLACKNITRIDE coating that reduces friction and provides corrosion resistance. The outside housing also features a red-anodized finish for added resistance to wear and corrosion.

With a short takeup and little reset, the company includes a built-in safety catch that prevents the trigger assembly from firing if the gun is dropped, ensuring that shooters have a safe and reliable system that provides them with the crisp trigger needed for precision work.

The Trojan Firearms TFA-15F Flat Drop-In Trigger is designed for use in all AR-15 and AR-10 platforms and includes the shoulder bolts necessary for installation. The suggested retail price on the trigger is $149.99.

MIM Myths

Metal-injection molding (MIM) creates complex, durable and reliable metal parts in things we use daily. Its ability to churn out high volumes at reduced cost endeared it to the firearm industry decades ago. Despite that fact, gun companies we asked about the process were tight lipped.
