Taylor 9mm lever action carbine

Taylor & Company has just launched its first fully American-made firearm, the new Taylor & Company TC 73 9mm lever-action carbine. While this new 9mm lever action carbine is technically a PCC (pistol-caliber carbine) and has every right to be called as such, most shooters never associate that term with firearms that take after the original Winchester 1873 pattern lever action carbines. But, that’s what Taylor & Company’s new lever gun offering is—a modern homage to one of the most significant Winchester lever-action firearms in that company’s storied history. Amongst all of Winchester’s famous lever gun models like the 1866, 1886 or 1894, the 1873 was the specific “gun that won the West.”

Chambered for 9mm, Taylor & Company’s reproduction provides the shooter with an inexpensive and commonly available option for plinking, target shooting or small-game hunting. And not to mention, with the popularity of 9mm as a pistol round, the Taylor & Company TC73 lever action carbine affords the shooter to share ammunition with the end user’s defensive pistol, not unlike the western frontiersmen of old who carried their sets of Winchester 1873 leverguns and Colt Single-Action Army revolvers chambered in .44-40 Win.

“With superior qualities such as improved carrier block design, lightened trigger pull, hardened screws and fully machined internal parts, the Taylor & Company TC73 is a superior representation of the 1873 lever gun made with modern day technology and quality standards. A rubber butt pad, and white bead front sight with a semi-buckhorn rear sight complete the finishing touches for a first-rate yet practical rifle. And for the modern sportsman there is even a 5/8x24 threaded barrel. The versatility of 9 mm meets Taylor’s standard of Where Legend Meets Performance today.”
