Tanfoglio’s new Defiant Gold Match OR (Optics Ready) pistol combines the accuracy and speed found in Tanfolglio’s Defiant competition pistols with 13 rounds of 10mm power and is exclusively imported into the United States by the Italian Firearms Group. The Italian Firearms Group was established in 2010 and combines three of italy’s most highly respected gunmakers: F.A.I.R., Pedersoli and Tanfoglio, as well as Czech gun manufacturer FK BRNO.
The single action Defiant Gold Match OR has a black Cerakoted frame and slide that is set off by Tanfoglio’s red aluminum grips. Inside the slid is a hard-chromed six-inch bull barrel with 1:16-inch, right-hand twist. Both the pistol’s frame and bolt are CNC-crafted from high-strength steel to provide years of use. The frame also features ports along both sides to help the barrel cool down fast and to reduce the pistol’s overall weight.
The pistol has a crisp single-action trigger and the butterfly safety is ambidextrous. The rear sight is fully adjustable for elevation and windage. There is also a removable rear-sight plate for mounting a wide variety of red-dot optics, including those with the Shield RMS/SRS and Trijicon RMR footprints.
