XD-M Elite 4.5" 10mm

Springfield Armory is adding a new pistol to their popular XD-M Elite series — the XD-M Elite 4.5" OSP 10mm. This new optics-ready pistol sports a 4.5 inch match grade Melonite finished barrel and an ergonomic frame which houses a double-column stainless steel magazine that provides a 16-round capacity in the two included magazines.

“This newest addition to the XD-M Elite line of pistols gives shooters and outdoor enthusiasts a great option for a powerful and capable defensive pistol,” says Steve Kramer, Vice President of Marketing for Springfield Armory. “Features like its optics capability, fully ambidextrous controls and a funneled, removable mag well make the XD-M Elite 4.5" OSP 10mm ideal for anyone serious about self-defense.”

Built into the new XD-M Elite 4.5" 10mm is Springfield Armory's Optical Sight Pistol (OSP) feature, which means it has a removable seamless cover plate that reveals a mounting interface for the optic of your choice. There are a wide range of popular red dot optics you can use with one of the available mounting plates. In addition to this, the pistol is also offered packaged with a HEX Dragonfly already mounted on the slide.

The XD-M Elite 4.5" OSP 10mm also has a removable extended and flared “short” mag well. The mag well provides for rapid reloads, yet doesn't get in the way when carried in a holster, and the extended baseplates on the 16 round magazines match up nicely with the short mag well when seated in the gun.

Inside the pistol is the Match Enhanced Trigger Assembly (META) system is the heart of this pistol and features a flat face and integral overtravel stop, delivering a trigger pull that exceeds what you've come to expect from a production polymer-framed pistol.

The XD-M Elite 4.5" OSP 10mm also includes an ambidextrous slide stop and magazine release, and the improved slide serrations provide enhanced ergonomics and slip-free gun manipulations. The forged steel slide is topped with Springfield Armory’s Tactical Rack U-Dot rear sight that has a u-shaped white outline and works in tandem with the high-visibility fiber optic front sight.

MSRP for the XD-M Elite 4.5" OSP 10m pistol itself is $653, and the MSRP for the pistol packaged with the HEX Dragonfly red dot optic is $837. For more information on this pistol and other products from Springfield Armory, please visit springfield-armory.com.
