Redline 2020

New from Springfield Armory is the Model 2020 Redline, a lightweight and easy to maneuver bolt-action rifle. The Model 2020 Redline takes the concept of the classic scout rifle into the 21st century, creating a lightweight and compact rifle that is ready for use when every ounce counts.

“The Model 2020 Waypoint set the standard for precision manufacturing, performance and accuracy from a premium, American-made rifle,” said Steve Kramer, Vice President of Marketing for Springfield Amory. “The new Model 2020 Redline continues that tradition by offering backcountry hunters a rifle perfectly suited to their demanding needs.”

The Model 2020 Redline is available chambered in .308 Win. or 6.5 Creedmoor and is offered with a choice of 16- or 20-inch, carbon-fiber-jacketed barrels. The muzzle has a SA Radial Brake and is also threaded in order to attach a suppressor or other muzzle device. This comes in handy because a partnership program between Springfield Armory and Silencer Central offers all purchasers of Model 2020 Redline rifles a free $200 “Tax Stamp” for acquiring a Banish 30 suppressor through that company (where legally applicable).

The Redline uses a unique skeletonized, light weight Grayboe Trekker stock and has an overall weight of just 28 ounces. The stock has an adjustable length-of-pull system and three additional spacers, as well as three sling studs, one in the rear and two in the front.

The Model 2020 action is manufactured from premium materials and has dual locking lugs on a fluted bolt that smooth operation and an optimized extraction cam provides robust, reliable operation in any condition.

The free-floated BSF barrel of the Model 2020 Redline is jacketed in a roll-wrapped, carbon-fiber sleeve and is fluted under the sleeve for reduced weight and increased surface cooling area.  The Redline features a TriggerTech trigger with a low-profile, non-snag safety. Using Springfield Armory’s Frictionless Release Technology, the trigger is adjustable from 2.5 to 5 pounds, with a patented, free-floating roller. All this adds up to a rifle which Springfield Armory guarantees will produce 0.75-MOA accuracy for a three-shot group at 100 yards with quality match-grade factory ammunition in the hands of a skilled shooter.

The Model 2020 Redline is available with either a 16- or 20-inch barrel and is chambered in .308 Win. or 6.5 Creedmoor. MSRP of all the variants of the Model 2020 Redline is $2,299, and more information on this rifle and other products from Springfield Armory is available at springfield-armory.com.
