Smith & Wesson Stealth Hunter .45-70

Smith & Wesson is expanding the lineup of Model 1854 Series lever-action rifles and carbines by adding more lever-action relevant calibers. One of Smith & Wesson’s latest moves is to offer the Model 1854 Series in the Stealth Hunter trim chambered in .45-70 Govt. This new rifle is an all-black Model 1854 lever-action carbine that is fitted with a 16.5-inch stainless steel barrel. This handy but powerful carbine also has a five-round tubular magazine capacity and a weight of only 6.5 pounds. Lengthwise, it only measures 34.3 inches long.

The stainless-steel receiver and stainless-steel barrel are finished in Smith & Wesson’s classic Armonite black finish while the Stealth Hunter is outfitted with black synthetic furniture. Smith & Wesson Model 1854 Series include an enclosed, solid-top receiver with a right-side ejection port and a right-side tubular magazine loading gate. By having a closed receiver, Model 1854 Series lever-action rifles can easily accommodate both modern optics and metallic ghost ring sights with a longer sight radius. All 1854 rifles are optics ready and include a pre-installed Picatinny scope base along with a pair of XS ghost ring rear sights and gold bead front sights.
