LC Charger

Sturm, Ruger And Company, Inc is releasing a new large-format pistol chambered for the 5.7x28mm cartridge with an action and pattern based on the Ruger LC Carbine. The new Ruger LC Charger 5.7mm pistol also accepts the same magazine as the Ruger-5.7 pistol. The LC Charger also uses the same fire control mechanism found in the Ruger-5.7 pistol, which makes use of a protected internal hammer with a bladed safety trigger that has a short and smooth pull. The break is clean and the reset is positive as well.

The LC Charger 5.7 large format pistol has a nitrided steel-alloy barrel that is cut with the industry standard ½x28 tpi threads. The integrated handguard of the pistol includes built-in M-Lok slots, while the top of the pistol has a continuous section of M1913 Picatinny rail. Ruger ships the LC Charger with standard-capacity 20-round magazines, but those who live in states with magazine restrictions can select an LC Charger that ships with 10-round magazines.

The 5.7x28mm cartridge has origins in Belgium from FN Herstal. This cartridge offers shooters decent muzzle velocity but minimal recoil due to bullets’ sizes and weights. In spite of its light recoiling nature, it is suitable for a wide variety of uses. Today, it is catching on within the industry and major firearms manufacturers are selling more pistols in this caliber.
