New Proof Research Rifle Stocks

Montana based Proof Research, famous for its lightweight, carbon-fiber-wrapped rifle barrels is now launching two new rifle stocks, the Proof Research Lightweight Hunter and Mountain Tactical stocks.

Both rifle stocks incorporate the use of space-age materials including carbon fiber and other synthetics to provide the shooter with improved ergonomics, weight reduction and performance in all types of weather and environmental conditions.

“Hunters and shooters have always known Proof Research for pushing boundaries in rifle technology,” said Rich Hunter, CEO at Proof Research. “Our carbon fiber stocks are at the core of what makes our rifles so light, strong and accurate. With this launch, we’re excited to make these stocks available as individual products, so more hunters and marksmen can experience the Proof difference in their own builds.”

Proof Research Lightweight Hunter Stock

This stock weighs only 21 ounces and is intended for backcountry hunters that traverse extremely technical terrain who are also serious about their kit’s overall weight. The Lightweight Hunter Stock includes bedded pillars and a molded-in V-block made from carbon fiber. This stock features a traditional hunting rifle stock layout with a straight comb and a tapering fore-end. It also includes sling swivel studs on the front and at the rear. MSRP for the Proof Research Lightweight Hunter Stock starts at $949.

Proof Research Mountain Tactical Hunter Stock

The Proof Research Mountain Tactical Hunter Stock weighs 7 ounces more than the Lightweight Hunter Stock. Also primarily made from carbon fiber, this stock has a more precision rifle-oriented profile including a squarer buttstock with a vertical stock wrist. In addition, its fore-end tapers out and flattens towards the front. The Mountain Tactical Hunter stock also uses bedded pillars and a molded-in carbon fiber V-block. MSRP for the Proof Research Mountain Tactical Hunter Stock starts at $999.
