Magpul Hunter Lite

Magpul is expanding the Hunter Lite line of backcountry outdoors stocks with a third version for the Ruger American rifle in short-action cartridges. Designed around most of the same stand-out features as the other Hunter Lite variants, like a V-bedding block, adjustable length-of-pull (LOP) and comb height and the ability to use AICS-pattern magazines, the Hunter Lite Stock can be configured for both left- and right-handed shooters. All these features come in a stock that weighs only 2.5 pounds and has a narrower fore-end to support maneuverability and ease of carry. On top of this, the stock fits both Gen I and Gen II models of the Ruger American rifle.

Hunter Lite Stock – Ruger American Short Action Features:

  • Weight: Approximately 2.5 pounds
  • Extruded aluminum V-bedding block
  • Steel action screw pillars
  • Right and left-hand configurable by the end user by swapping out inlet insert
  • Sling swivel studs on buttstock and fore-end
  • M-Lok slots on fore-end
  • Removable buttstock spacers for a 13-15 inch adjustable LOP, based on ½-inch spacers
  • AICS-compatible magazine well
  • Ambidextrous magazine release paddle
  • Snap-on cheek risers for adjustable comb height
  • Enlarged trigger guard for use with gloves
  • Accommodates barrel profiles up to Medium Palma
  • Comes in Black, FDE or OD Green

MSRP for Hunter Lite Stock for Ruger American short action rifles is $219.95.

Also new from Magpul is the MBUS Pro Hooded Front Sight. By adding a hood around the front sight post of the MBUS Pro front sight, rather than the standard wing-style sight, Magpul has created an aiming point that acts as a diopter when placed in proper relation to the MBUS Pro rear sight. This allows for a  more precise target alignment, and the front post can also be rotated to change widths depending on the shooter’s needs. The sight also includes a toolless elevation adjustment knob, making it more applicable in different scenarios and is built from steel with a QPQ finish, just like the other MBUS Pro sights.

MBUS Pro Hooded Front Sight Features:

  • All-steel construction
  • Elevation adjustment knob
  • Corrosion-resistant QPQ finish
  • Detents in both the stowed and deployed positions
  • .432-inch height above rail at the tallest point when stowed, uses 1.71 inches of rail space when stowed
  • Standard AR sight height when deployed
  • Enhanced front sight post allows for .04-inch match or standard .06-inch sight width

The MBUS Pro Hooded Front Sight is available in black with an MSRP of $94.95. More information on both this items as well as other products from Magpul is available at magpul.com.
