Savage Hunter Lite

The Magpul Hunter Lite Stock – Savage Axis Short Action is a purpose-built, ambidextrous stock designed for Savage Axis and Axis II rifles that are chambered in short-action calibers. The Hunter Lite streamlines Magpul’s original Hunter Stocks to reduce the weight and dimensions, providing a fully featured upgrade for those who want a rifle that won’t weigh them down on their outdoor pursuits. The result is a stock that weighs 20-percent less, with a fore-end that’s almost 25-percent narrower than the original Hunter line.

The Hunter Lite Stock– Savage Axis Short Action stock is built with advanced features and enhanced ergonomics and can be used by both left and right-handed shooters by simply swapping out an inlet insert on the stock. The extruded aluminum V-bedding block uses reinforced steel pillars to prevent compression and deformation while shooting. The buttstock and fore-end have integral sling-swivel studs and M-Lok slots for use with a variety of slings and bipods. The stock can also be adjusted for length of pull via removable half-inch spacers and comb height can be modified using the included snap-on cheek riser.

Other features include an enlarged trigger guard that allows for comfortable use with gloves and grants access to the ambidextrous magazine release, an integrated magazine well for AICS-pattern, short-action magazines and stamped steel over-insertion tabs to ensure repeatable proper presentation of the magazine in the action.

The stock accepts barrel profiles up to Medium Palma, and will be available in Black, FDE (Flat Dark Earth), Stealth Gray, and ODG (Olive Drab Green). MSRP for the Magpul Hunter Lite Stock – Savage Axis Short Action is $219.95, and more information on this product and the extensive line of other products from Magpul can be found at magpul.com.
