Springfield Armory has collaborated with Lipsey’s to offer customers two special editions of the Springfield Armory SA-35 9mm single-action pistol, which is based on the iconic Hi-Power pistol.
“The SA-35 provides shooters with a high-quality, U.S.-made version of one of the most popular and proven handguns ever designed,” said Steve Kramer, vice president of marketing for Springfield Armory. “With these new color options featuring tough Cerakote finishes and G10 grips, fans have two new eye-catching options with this highly capable pistol.”
In addition to the Coyote Brown or Tactical Gray Cerakote finishes, these special edition Springfield Armory SA-35s also include color-coordinated G10 stocks in colors complimentary to the Cerakote finishes.
Based on the original Browning Hi-Power, the last gun design that John Moses Browning worked on alongside famous Belgian firearms designer Dieudonne Saive (inventor of the FN-49 and FN FAL rifles), the SA-35 is a modern American manufactured version of the original 9mm pistol. Springfield builds the SA-35 with forged carbon steel frames and cold hammer forged barrels. The SA-35 takes this one step further and includes a range of subtle improvements over the original Hi-Power, like improvements to the barrel’s feed ramp to ensure that the guns feed modern hollow-point cartridges and one 15-round magazine instead of the original 13-round magazines.
