Mission First Tactical announced the launch of its latest AR-15 accessory, the Tekko Polymer AR-15 Carbine Rail System Handguard, also known as the TP15MRS.
“We created this handguard for an end user looking for a different foot print with enhanced features that’s price sensitive," MFT Vice President David Edelman said. "It’s light, tough as nails and allows accessories to be quickly and easily added."
The Mission First Tactical TP15MRS handguard is designed for modularity and flexibility, thanks to its compatibility with MLok accessory attachments. MLok rail slots are available for accessory mounting at the 9-, 12-, 3- and 6-o'clock positions around the rail, allowing for versatile placement options for any shooter's go-to AR accessories.
Mission First Tactical manufactured its new Tekko handguard using the company's heat- and impact-resistant polymer, made from a proprietary blend that provides enhanced durability that is designed to withstand rugged conditions and the abuse that comes with running an AR carbine hard during a course or in a professional setting, such as law-enforcement or military use. For added grip, the handguard features molded-in textured surfaces designed to provide a secure hold in all environments.
One of the benefits of the Mission First Tactical TP15MRS AR-15 Handguard is the ease with which the fore-end can be installed on most entry-level ARs on the market. The handguard is designed as a direct replacement of the two-piece plastic handguards that equip many budget rifles.
To replace the stock handguard with the MFT option, simply pull back the Delta ring and swap out the handguard components. The handguard is held in place by the same Delta ring and handguard cap used on factory handguards. No gunsmithing, new barrel nut, indexing, screws or other changes needed.
