Meprolight announced its support for the Hearing Protection Act, which removes sound suppressors from the NFA registry, with the introduction of its suppressor-friendly night sights designed for use on Glock handguns.

One of the challenges facing gun owners who incorporate suppressors into their shooting kit is that the profile of a suppressor can often obscures the target when shooters use traditional pistol sights to aim their handgun. Some suppressor designs on the market have remedied this issue by redesigning the profile of the suppressor to sit below the sights of a handgun, but many commonly available suppressors still raise the same issue.

One solution provided by Meprolight is the addition of the company's ML10224SUP sights, which sit higher above the slide than standard handgun sights, enabling users to move their sight picture above the profile of an attached suppressor, ensuring that they can get on target easily with a simple sight swap.

The company's set of night sights are sized to fit 12 different models of Glock handguns chambered in 9 mm, .357 SIG, .40 S&W and .45 GAP, ensuring a wide variety of fitments within a single manufacturer's lineup. The sights incorporate tritium illumination, which are battery-free and will provide a bright sight picture in the absence of any external light.

The sights feature two illumination dots in the rear sight and one illumination dot in the front sight. Each green illumination vial is surrounded by a white ring, ensuring that users can quickly and easily pick up the sights, even in bright daylight.

The suggested retail price on the new Meprolight Suppressor-Friendly Night Sights is $104. The company also produces a wide range of standard night sights for all kinds of rifles, pistols and shotguns, even including a set of tritium-illuminated AR-15 iron sights. The company also recently introduced its revolutionary FT Bullseye sight, which operates without the use of a front sight post.
