MDT CORE Timbr Stock

MDT has announced its new Timbr Core rifle stock and its corresponding CORE bottom metal. At launch, MDT is offering this new hardwood rifle stock to complement the Ruger American bolt-action rifle, one of the most popular in North America.

The new MDT Timbr Core is a traditionally configured one-piece walnut riflestock that has an internal aluminum chassis which supports the barreled action. Despite its “traditional” configuration, the MDT contoured the TIMBR stock to have a more modern geometry that is conducive to better accuracy when taking rifle shots from awkward positions. The comb is raised to aid when shooting with rifle optics, and the bottom of the stock is slightly flatter in order to better work with rear bags. The fore-end includes a pair of sling swivel studs to accept a traditional bipod and field sling. Timbr Core stocks are also designed to not need any specialized gunsmithing or bedding. All you need to do is to lay the barreled action in the stock and torque the rifle’s action screws as needed.

MDT Timbr Core Rifle Stock Features:

  • Accommodates a Sendero barrel profile
  • Length of pull adjustable from 13.6 inches to 14.3 inches
  • Sling studs on the bottom of the fore-end
  • Include an aluminum micro chassis. Requires a bottom metal.
  • Stock is available in walnut and laminate wood. (green and grey).
  • Weight: 2.9 pounds

Because the new Timbr Core stock is designed to work with an internal micro chassis, it accommodates AICS compatible magazines. The Timbr Core chassis will be available for Ruger American short-action rifles, Remington 700 short-action rifles with a Badger M5 profile, Tikka T3x short-action rifles with a CTR profile, Savage short action with the current Savage 110 profile and Howa 1500 short-action rifles.

The Timbr Core chassis has an MSRP of $499.95, the Core bottom metal is $149.95 and for more information on this new chassis or other products from MDT, visit mdttac.com.
